Gia's Story
Meet Gia, a girl who has made positive life changes with the help of our team at CEDARS!
When Gia came into our care, she had just left the only home she’d ever known and moved into her grandma’s house amid a lot of emotional pain from losing a dear friend. The day she started unpacking her bags, CEDARS wrapped supports around the family. Staff helped Gia find healthy ways to cope with her grief, while also teaching her grandma about the ways Gia’s trauma had affected her everyday life. Since being in CEDARS care, Gia has been able to get off probation, hold her job, stay away from substances, and finally calls her grandma’s house “home”.
We are so happy that we could be here for Gia!
