Ethan's Story

Little 7-year-old Ethan has already seen more uncertainty than any child should. His home was filled with instability—his parents' inability to care for him properly, and the many moves from place to place left him feeling lost and unsure. When things became unsafe at home, Ethan came to CEDARS and was placed in a new home with a foster family. While it’s been a big change, his foster parents are kind and patient, and little by little, Ethan has started trusting them more.

Though he has a tough exterior, Ethan is a sensitive and imaginative kid. He loves building with Legos, creating entire worlds with just a few blocks, and he enjoys reading stories about pirates, hidden treasures, and adventures that take him to faraway places. He is finally starting to feel at home with his foster family and is so excited to experience the holidays like he has always dreamed of.

His foster parents want to make all of his wishes come true, but welcoming more children into their house has added financial strain. They were worried they wouldn't be able to provide any gifts for the kids in their care this year. Fortunately, Ethan and his foster family were adopted by our generous community for the holidays. They shopped for items off each of their wish lists and dropped them off at CEDARS!

We can't wait to hear about all of the festivities, and the reaction on Ethan's face when he opens his presents. None of this would have been possible without your support.

Thank you to all who ensure we can continue being here for kids and families. Always.
